“Lien Hoa Tinh Canh” – an oil painting masterpiece by artist Kim Duc, created in 2022 – is not only an artistically excellent lotus painting, but also a profound symbol of compassion and wisdom in Buddhism. With a harmonious composition, soft lines and spiritual depth, the painting takes viewers into a pure world, where each lotus petal seems to be breathing, exuding a pure fragrance and the echo of the distant temple bell.
Welcoming him and the Sangha was Most Venerable Thich Duc Thien, Abbot of Phat Tich Pagoda, Vice President and General Secretary of the Executive Council, Deputy Head of the Sangha Committee, Head of the International Buddhist Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
Recently, at the Central headquarters of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, 73 Quan Su, Hanoi, Supreme Patriarch Sayadaw Sandimar Bhivamsa and the Myanmar Sangha visited and congratulated the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha on the occasion of Buddha's birthday PL.2568 - DL. 2024.
On the afternoon of March 25, at Quan Su Pagoda, the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Art of Sen Viet 2023 - Pure Beauty" was held in collaboration with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and Organized by the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha. The exhibition displays 75 lotus paintings by female artist Nguyen Thi Kim Duc.
